The evidence
GNP Defend products are used by law enforcement and military customers, and by shooters in more than 30 countries.
GNP Defend Gun Oil completed a 10,000-round endurance test at Poland's Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU), across eight service firearms โ from the AKMS and GROT M1 to the Glock 17 and Mossberg 500.
OPINION ZBUS-WITU-B3/4/2023After firing, test firearms were stored uncleaned for 14 days at 81โ84% humidity. Inspection found zero corrosion on protected surfaces.
14 DAYS ยท 81โ84% RHGNP Defend holds NATO Commercial and Government Entity code 9BXGH (NCAGE) โ the registration that allows supply into NATO procurement systems.
NCAGE 9BXGHWe switched to GNP Defend because it handles carbon buildup better than anything else we tried. During training days, rifles get hot and dirty fast. With this product, cleaning time dropped by almost 40%.
The test opinion applies to GNP Defend Gun Oil; our cleaner family was used throughout the 10,000-round test.
Why we exist
GNP Defend is an American-owned company with an unusual conviction: firearm care chemistry should be held to a military standard, not a marketing one. That conviction took us to Poland โ home to some of Europe's most demanding small-arms manufacturing โ where every GNP Defend product is engineered and made.
We don't sell all-in-one promises. We build dedicated products that each do one job completely: a degreaser that strips, a cleaner that cleans, a foam that reaches the whole bore, a grease that holds under heat, and an oil that lubricates and protects.
Clean first, then oil. That's the system.
Read our care guidesThe system
Each product does one job completely, in order. Skip a step and the next one works against you.
Strip first. Old oil and buildup come off before anything else goes on. Always step one.
STEP 1 OF 5
Water-based, odorless carbon removal โ born from black powder cleaning, safe at the kitchen table.
STEP 2 OF 5
Expands to reach the whole bore and clings while it works.
STEP 3 OF 5
For slide rails, locking lugs, and carrier surfaces โ the metal-on-metal points that heat punishes.
STEP 4 OF 5
Lubricates and protects. The one with the 10,000-round test behind it. Clean first, then oil.

From the founder
Firearm care should be held to a military standard, not a marketing one. That conviction is the whole company. Everything we sell was tested before it was named.
